Droplets

It should be raining. A melodramatic fool this may make me, but the lack of heavy moisture driving others inside, off the roads and byways of the city, is as depressing to me as the rain's presence is to most of those others being driven indoors. The brighter, sun-filled days that came later in the past week were almost painful, though that's likely my ocular orbs being so used to winter's more sombre and subdued palate.

And winter; what a bad joke the season is around this part of the world. Entire months that one would assume to be snow and frustration filled, but only the frustration joins this island.

Maybe that is what winter is designed for; to frustrate, regardless of reason, being snow, Christmas, or the damned in-laws.

Melodrama

It's the strangest, most twisted part of my existence at play, once again.

Often, like today, there are only two things on this planet that make me feel alive, conscious, and even aware of what's around me. I can get one any time I want; steel strings under the tips of my fingers, mahogany and maple cupped within the palm of my hand, but the other is almost always a traipse to get to. The times that it is easy to get within my grasp are certain to be marred by some kind of spat or misdirected words or interference at the hands of the queen of fools, or so the evidence is beginning to show.

That is not to say that I do not desire more time with the second part of what the melodramatic might describe as my life support. Had I my way, a minimum of twelve hours a day exposure to this second source of vitae would be a good starting point, even if many of those hours would be spent asleep.

Moreover, calling this source "second" belies nothing of its importance to me. I can spend all day with the metal strings in my hands with ease, but in doing so, often wish for the "second" source even more. Naming it my "first" source; the go-to, the first instinct, and the immediate cure, would be miles more than just appropriate.

Loneliness really is inexplicable.

Functional bliss

There are some things on this planet that cause human beings to react in ridiculous and strange ways, but still be completely capable of living a content and well managed existence. A lot of these things are What is Between People; the bigger things that tie beings together as friends, family or lover. The Universal Forces, the Things We Can't Explain, legends, tales and stories of Things We Don't Know About.

The weird things that give us reactions. Things that stick in our heads. Things that always include people.

Functional Bliss. Being stuck in one of these states, being pleased with it, staying in said state, and moving along with life.

Hell yeah.

And following a long bout with the Northern winds and their typically icy wrath, there appears the sun out of the western sky. That said, the Bright Orb only raises the temperature to +2 degrees, as opposed to the -2 it has been for the short age of this Victorian winter, if it can even be called that. Since -5 was about as cold as it got here, while it was closer to -40 elsewhere in the nation, one can't really call this even vaguely close to a True Canadian Winter.

The snow did not even last more than two weeks.

However, along with a shift in weather, the radical shift in the Powers That Be has managed to captivate people by the hundred of millions; in more countries than there are Stars on that Spangled Banner. Here's hoping that we, as humans, have not created a lion out of a mouse, through our own Hyping. As fallible as one man can be, a species is just leaving more room for error.

Good evening

And good morning to those who are enjoying it.

So, does anybody know how to create a live streaming radio station? I have a microphone and a Firewire audio input device that can connect to the compy.

Ja?

Two days

Being born in two different time zones, separated by a day, has benefits. I was not born as such, but I know someone who was.

I"m not even five hours into the second day. This will be fun.
